Segurana do Ciberespao (CSSC) emm maio foi baseada numa avaliao de segurana estrita e independente seguindo as directrizes da Unio Europeia e no visku
directamente a proibio de fornecedores chineses como a Huawei.


O CSSC o rgo consultivo do primeiro-ministro e
a sua deliberao foi vista como mais uum golpe nos esforos da gigante tecnolgica chinesa
Huawei para entrar em redes autnomas no mercado 5G em Portugal
e alargqr os contratos existentes.

Campolargo disse que "tambm pode haver uma implicao indireta desses critrios de segurana nas redes 4G", nas
quais as redes 5G ainda so amplamente baseadas, mas a comisso do CSSC estava em contacto
com os operadores sobre quaisquer dificuldades ouu desafios.



Ao abrigo de uma lei aprovada em agosto passado, Portugal pode
determinar "a excluso, restrio de utilizao ou cessao de utilizao de equipamentos ou servios" das empresas de telecomunicaes por razes de segurana, estabelecendo critrios e
prazos para os operadores cumprirem.

A Comisso de Avaliao de Segurana criada noo
mbito do CSSC avaliou ao longo dos ltimos nove meses os axpetos
de segurana de todos oss equipamentos existentes em Portugal, independentemente da "tecnologia, mrito ou qualidade", e aplicou os critrios da '5G security toolbox' da Unio Europeia.


"(A Comisso) ter em conta um equilbrio aceitvel entre a segurana e os investimentos que foram feitos pelas operadoras", disse Campolargo, que reporta directamente ao primeiro-ministro e preside o CSSC.


"Por haver esse equilbrio entre a segurana e o retorno do investimento dos operadores, Portugal no considera compens-las pela substituio de equipamentos", disse.



A ANACOM, reguladora do mewrcado de telecomunicaes de Portugal, ser responsvel pela implementao da deliberao e os prazos sero estabelecidos caso a caso,
disse ele.

Questionado se a deliberao visava fornecedores chineses como a Huawei, ele disse:
"Claro que no".

A comisso alertou para um "alto risco" para a segurana de redes envolvendo
tecnologia 5G de fornecedores ou provedorws com sede em pas onde
o governoo exera controle, interferncia ou presso sobre suas
atividades em pases terceiros. Tambm citou riscos quando
o pas no membro da UE, da OTAN ou da OCDE.

Os principais operadores de Portugal - Altice, NOS e Vodafone -
j tinham ditgo que no usariam equipamentos da Huawei em redes core 5G, face a preocupaes europeias e americanas dee que o envolvimento chins na infraestrutura crtica possa comprometer a segurana.


Pequim e Huawei rejeitam tais sugestes.

Campolargo no espera qualquer impaxto na relao sino-portuguesa ou
no investimento chins depois de Portugal ter esclarecido que a deciso faz parte "de um processo mais amplo a nvel europeu e que um processo transparente e conhecido".
